What Jean is

A small team of specialists, on a Mac you own.

Jean is the coordinator. Behind him, four Claude Code sessions, each in its own folder with its own notes. Your people ask in Slack; Jean routes the request, and the work comes back in the thread.

  • Jean

    Coordinator

Takes every request, hands it to the right specialist, follows the thread, reports back.

  • Build

    Software

Fixes and builds through pull requests, with screenshots of what changed.

  • Research

    Briefs

Reads widely, writes short briefs with sources, posts them in the thread.

  • Growth

    Marketing

Drafts emails, pages and posts in your voice. You say when they go out.

  • Ops

    Admin

Invoices, tickets, the board, the tidy-ups nobody has time for.

Jean's hub, Sessions: Build, Growth, Jean, Ops and Research, each with what it is doing now, what is next, and what is blocked
Sessions: what each specialist is on right now, what's next, and what's blocked. Restart any of them from here.

How it works

Download, sign in, add to Slack, say hello.

  1. 1

    Open Jean

Drag it into Applications. Jean lives in the menu bar and walks you through the rest.

  2. 2

    Sign in to Claude

Your own Claude plan or API key. Jean reads which it is and sets who may ask him.

  3. 3

    Add to Slack

A prefilled page creates Jean's Slack app in one click. Two tokens come back; Jean says where each is.

  4. 4

    Say hello

Mention @Jean hello with the one-time code the app shows. The team is on duty.

Ask and approve

Ask in a thread. Approve with a check mark.

Mention Jean once. Inside the thread, just reply. Reversible work runs on its own; anything that can't be undone waits for an owner.

  • Merges, deploys, payments, publishing, outbound email stop until an owner approves that one action.
  • Enforced in code, not promised in a prompt. Every tool call passes Jean's guard first.
  • Files come back to the thread: briefs, PDFs, screenshots of every visible change.
Maya

@Jean can someone check the pricing page before the new plan names go live?

Jean

Oui, madame. Build has it. It touches the live site, so nothing ships until you give the word.

Build

Would like to: deploy the corrected pricing page. React ✅ to approve or ❌ to decline.

Maya

Jean

It's done, madame. Three plan names corrected, one broken link mended. Before and after, as you like it.

The hub

What's moving, what's waiting on you, what's done.

A private board on your Mac, open from the menu bar or your phone on the same network. The specialists keep it current; you see what needs you at a glance.

Jean's hub, the Board: cards under Up next, In progress, Waiting on someone and Done, each with its specialist; two wait on Maya
A fictional studio's board on a Tuesday morning. Two cards wait on Maya; one check mark and the pricing page ships.

Security and control

Your Mac. Your Claude. Your call.

A good butler never moves the furniture without asking.

  • Runs on your Mac

Jean runs where you can see it: your folders, your notes, your keys. Nothing about your work leaves the Mac for us.

  • Your own Claude

Sign in with your Claude plan or API key. Anthropic bills you directly; Jean's price is for Jean.

  • Approvals in code

The irreversible waits for an owner's check mark in Slack. Every approval is checked by the guard and logged on your Mac.

Pricing

One Mac, one price. Your Claude, your bill.

Every plan starts with 14 days free, no card. Cancel anytime.

Add-on

White-glove setup $499 one-time

Book setup

Claude usage is billed by Anthropic on your own plan or API key and is not included. A Claude Pro or Max plan covers one owner; a Team or Enterprise plan, or an API key, lets the whole team ask.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Why is it called Jean?

Jean is the butler who runs the house. He answers "Oui, madame" and quietly gets it done. Jean is that, for your operations: discreet, careful, a little over-attentive, and very good at his work.

Do I need my own Claude plan?

Yes. Jean runs Claude Code on your Mac with your account, so Claude usage is yours and billed by Anthropic. A Pro or Max plan covers one owner asking Jean; Team, Enterprise or an API key covers everyone in the channel.

Which Mac do I need?

Any Apple silicon Mac on macOS 13 or later, kept on. A Mac mini on a desk is ideal: Jean works around the clock, so the Mac shouldn't sleep.

What can Jean do without asking?

Anything that can be undone: drafts, branches, pull requests, research, cards on the board. Merging, deploying, paying, publishing, deleting and writing to people outside the team wait for an owner's check mark, and the guard enforces it.

Merci.

Five minutes to set up. Free for 14 days. Jean will be at his post.
